About the Dueling Piano Show
Gary Clausing and Tony Frontier are Milwaukee musicians with a simple goal; they just want you to have fun. Playing from a repertoire that covers six decades of popular music, you’re bound to hear something that you, your family and friends connect with. Pretty soon you’re reminiscing, then you’re singing along, then you’re dancing… You get the point.
Based out of Cedarburg, Wisconsin – an old milltown about twenty minutes north of Milwaukee – Clausing and Frontier play and sing the standards, rock, blues, country, and contemporary music that you want to hear. They are joined by percussionist, Joey Boulevard to create a trio that has a playlist of more than 400 songs and keeps audiences coming back for more.
“I think part of why people like the show so much is that in the age of the ipod, people want to choose their own music,” said Frontier of the Milwaukee Area Dueling Piano show.
When the audience selects the songs, they are part of the show. With a request list of more than 250 songs and a full set list of more than 400 songs that includes Sinatra, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Beatles, the Stones, Bob Dylan, the Eagles, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Queen, Billy Idol, Neil Diamond, U2, Coldplay and the Killers; there is something for everybody. If there is something you want to hear that is not on the list, go ahead and request it; they probably know it.
Since January of 2005, Frontier and Clausing have played at popular venues from Chicago, to Madison, to Green Bay, and back to Milwaukee. Venues range from brew pubs like the Silver Creek Brew Pub in Cedarburg and the Milwaukee Ale House in Grafton to weddings, private parties and corporate events at venues such as the Harley Davidson Museum, the Milwaukee Yacht Club, the Domes, the Nines of Mequon, and dozens of area hotels and country clubs. Their ability to adapt the show to the taste of the crowd keeps a broad range of audiences involved in the show and asking for more.
“Piano Brew Dueling Pianos is a must. The guys did a great job at our wedding reception that had a cocktail party feel instead of the traditional wedding reception. Once they started playing, the dance floor was constantly full and people couldn’t believe that they could request songs. The dance floor ended up being so busy that we shut down our second bar area away from the dance floor as no one was there. The two main compliments were in regards to the great music & the great food. Gary & Tony, thanks for a great night.”Matt & Leah – Chicago, Ill
